Minnie E. BEERY, 71, widow of Ernest BEERY, died Wednesday evening at a Mason City hospital. she had lived in Mason City 22 years, making her home at 326 3rd S.W.

Mrs. BEERY was born Jan 18, 1887, at Leonardville Kan., daughter of William E. DODD and Lucretia (DUGON) RUPE DODD. She was married to Ernest BEERY Aug 26, 1904 at Swaledale. They lived on a farm near Swaledale a number of years and later farmed in and around Mason City until the death of her husband in 1935.

Following her husband's death, she moved to Mason City in 1936 and had lived here since that time. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and attended the First Methodist Church of Mason City.

Surviving are seven sons, Clyde of Grafton, Carl of Mason City, Shelby in the U.S. Army at Ft. Bliss, Tex., Howard and Robert of Mason City, Donald of the U.S. Air Force, Sioux City AFB and William BEERY, Waterloo. Three daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Bernice) MUTH, Mason City, Mrs. George (Beatrice) MIKKELSEN, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Melvin (Betty) DREIER, Dumont, and 32 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four sisters and five brothers also survive.

She was preceded in death also by a son, Everett, in July 1956.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.

Minnie Beery Service Held
Funeral services for Minnie E. BEERY, 71, who died Wednesday at a Mason City hospital, were held Saturday afternoon at the First Methodist Church, the Rev. George Truman CARL officiated.

Harry ROSS was vocalist; Grace EHLERS was organist, Mrs. Leslie HARRIS and Mrs. Paul PETERSON were in charge of flowers.

Members of the Ladies of the Moose attended the services in a group. Members of the junior class of St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital School of Nursing attended the services and served as honor guards.

Pallbearers were all grandsons: Ronald BEERY, John BEERY, Roger MUTH, Ralph MUTH, Fred MUTH and Charles PINNEKE. Car escorts were Les DUNTON, Bill MUHLSTEIN, Dick O'BRIEN, Duane BENNER and Juanita MULSTEIN.

NOTE: Interment was made at Pleasant Valley Township Cemetery, rural Swaledale, Iowa.
