Clare Turnbull, 89, formerly of Clear Lake, died Monday, March 27, 1995, at Good
Shepherd Care Center, Mason City, Iowa.
Memorial services were held Friday, March 31, at the First Congregational Church, Clear Lake,
with the Rev. Charles William officiating. The body was donated to the University of Iowa
Anatomy Department.
Clare Turnbull was born April 12, 1905, in Mason City, the son of George and Josephine
(Smith) Turnbull.
He attended Mason City High School. He operated his own radio repair shop in Mason City
prior to moving to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he worked for Collins Radio. He joined
the United States Air Force during World War II, also specializing in radio repair.
After ing from the service, Clare married Annie Louise Urban. She preceded him
in death Jan. 23, 1990. He was employed at Armour in Mason City from 1952-68.

He is survived by a son, Bruce Turnbull, Burchinal, Iowa; a daughter, Ann Sadler and her
husband, Jerry, North Brook, Ill.; four grandchildren, Kelley and Jenny Sadler, and Adam
Turnbull and Andrew Turnbull.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.
