HELEN BUCK MCELDOON
BRIGHTON — Helen May McEldoon, 70, of Brighton, died Sept. 12, 2003 at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.
Funeral services were held at the Brighton United Church on Sept. 15, 2003.
Helen was born Sept. 20, 1932, to James A. and Mina M. (Harter) Buck. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1950 and married James P. McEldoon II on April 14, 1957. He died April 23, 1988.
The McEldoon family moved to Brighton in 1965 where Jim was the park ranger at Lake Darling State Park.
Helen was employed at the Clear Lake Bank & Trust for seven years and the Rubio Savings Bank of Brighton for 20 years.
Helen is survived by three sons, James P. III, of Bozeman, Mont., Todd and his fiancée, Mary Jansen, of Rochester, Minn., and Mark and his wife, Christy, of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Andrea, Jennifer, Julie, Cameron and Christopher; one brother, James Buck and his wife, Carole; two sisters, Janette Buck, of Clear Lake and Ruth Coffin and her husband, Cliff, of Eyota, Minn.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Martha Buck, Ruth Ann Knoll, Karen Humphrey and her husband, Bob, Paula Juhl and her husband, Doug; and a brother-in-law, Charles and his wife, Gloria.
Her parents, husband, and one brother, Robert Buck preceded her in death.
