Ventura Agent Dies at Milwaukee Depot.
Ventura - Funeral services for Lemuel David JONES, 63, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the U.B. church in Ventura with the Rev. E. M. MILLER officiating.
Mr. JONES died suddenly while at work at the Milwaukee depot Monday. He had served as agent here for 5 years.
He was born March 10, 1882, at Lake Crystal, Minn. He was a member of the Welch Methodist church. He was married in 1903 to Mary Jane JONES. In 1905 he began work with the Milwaukee road at Northfield, Minn. Before coming to Ventura he had served as agent at Sanborn for 22 years.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children: Mrs. C. J. HUGHES of Danville, Ill; Mrs. Bob ROBINSON, Mason City; Paul of Sanborn; Lyle, who is with the army at Ft. Bliss, Texas; Gordon, who is stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga.; Marvin of Clear Lake; Mrs. Warren ROETMAN of Sioux City; Willys with the army in Hawaii; and Mrs. Robert KIMBALL at home.
Also surviving are his brothers, Clayton, Ben, Rob and Edwin of Lake Crystal, Minn.; Frank of Garrison, S. Dak.; and his sisters, Mrs. Sue CARSON and Mrs. Nora OWENS of Lake Crystal, and Mrs. Rob CORREY of Chicago, Ill.
A daughter, Marion, preceded her father in death.
