Earl Julien – June 3, 1914 – October 3, 2007
Nora Springs- Earl Julien 93, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at the Heritage Care Center, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday October 6, 2007, at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel 114 North Hawkeye, Nora Springs, with Reverend Glen Bandel officiating. Interment will be in the Rock Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Earl Julien Memorial Fund.
Earl Julien was born June 3, 1914, in Nora Springs, the son of Ferd and Mabel (Merritt) Julien. He attended Nora Springs Schools. Earl started his own trucking business Julien Trucklines. He was united in marriage to Mary Hartmann in 1936; to this union a son was born.
Earl is survived by his son Fred and his wife Donna Julien, of Nora Springs, grandchildren Debra Julien, of Des Moines, and Dana and her husband Rob Paulsen, of Mason City; great-grandchildren Allie and Carly Paulsen, of Mason City; one sister Phyllis Jones, of New Hampton.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents Ferd and Mabel Julien, wife Mary Julien, and brother George Julien.
