November 10, 2004Mervil Nile LONG, 92, was born April 5, 1912, in Springfield, Ill., a son of John and Frankie LONG. He passed away on Sunday (Nov. 7, 2004) at St. Croix Falls, Wis.
He was united in marriage to Lelia McALISTER on May 14, 1938, in Thompson, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia; and son, Marlin LONG.
He is survived by his four children: Juanita LONG, Robert LONG and his wife, Melissa; John LONG; and Mark LONG and his wife, Rachel; 10 grandchildren: Jason, Melanie, Jennifer, Chris, Dena, Teresa, Shell, Scott, Angela, and DeeAnna; eight great-grandchildren: Erica, Keaton, Thad, Amber, Tony, Autumn, Jeremy, and Hunter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Plymouth Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth, Iowa, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Plymouth immediately following services.
