Patrick Henry Cahill was born October 9, 1912 at Dougherty, Cerro Gordo, Iowa to parents Henry Cahill and Anna McMenimen.

Found in the 1915, 1920 and 1925 censuses living at Doughterty, Cerro Gordo, Iowa:
1915: 2 years old.
1920: Henry Cahill 51, Anna Cahill 45, John Cahill 22[28], Cassins Cahill 20, Lenore Cahill 14, Marion Cahill 12, Henry Cahill 7, Joseph Cahill 5, Patrick Cahill 48, Frank Schorr 42.
1925: Henry Cahill 56, Annie Cahill 50, Lenore M Cahill 19, Marion A Cahill 17, Cassius J Cahill 25, Henry P Cahill 12, Joseph B Cahill 10, Patrick Cahill 53.

Found in the 1930 census living at Lime Creek, Cerro Gordo, IA: Henry Schell (should be Cahill) 62, Anna Schell 56, Cassius J Schell 28, Mary L Schell 24, Henry Schell 17, Joseph B Schell 15, John W Schell 65.

Patrick Cahill graduated from the Holy Family High School in Mason City, Iowa in 1932.

Patrick Cahill married Calla Josephine Badker on February 5, 1940 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa. They had three children, a girl and two boys.

He died December 13, 1994 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa and was buried at the Memorial Park Cemetery there.

Patrick Henry "Hank" Cahill grew up in Mason City, Iowa and was an All-State football player in high school. He attended Mason City Junior College and then worked at Jacob E. Decker as a buyer. He also farmed for many years and was employed by Briggs Transportation until retiring in 1976. He enjoyed sports and was a longtime Minnesota Twins fan. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

Hank was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Teamsters Union 147. He was inducted into the River City Softball Hall of Fame in 1987. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge and the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, John, Cash and Joe; and 3 sisters: Marian, Margaret, and Lenore.
