Virginia L. Bringolf Black, 66, of Oklahoma City, died Tuesday, August 9, 1988, at St. Ann's Nursing Home in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services were held August 18, 1988, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mason City, IA. The Rev. Timothy D. Hubert officiated, with burial in the Grafton Cemetery (Iowa).

Mrs. Black was born February 23, 1922, at Mason City to Glen and Caroline (Kruger) Bringolf. She graduated from Mason City High School and later from Grinnnell (Iowa) College.

For a short time, she worked at Mason City Public Library.

Survivors include two sons, Bryce Black, Arkansaw, WI, and Ross Black, Lawrence, KS; her mother, Caroline Bringolf, Mason City; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, and a son.
