Jay Dee Badker was born April 6, 1950 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa to William Kenneth Badker and Lena Marie Thomas, the youngest of their five children.

Jay Dee Badker, 52, of Mason City, Iowa, died Saturday, November 30, 2002, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient unit of cancer. Memorial services will be held at a later date with inurnment at St. John's Episcopal Church Columbarium.

Jay Dee Badker was born April 6, 1950, in Mason City, the son of William Kenneth and Lena (Thomas) Badker. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1969. He is survived by his sons, Kyle Badker and Kristopher Badker, both of Des Moines; three grandchildren; two brothers, Dick Badker of Kasson, Minnesota, and Tom Badker of Dover, Minnesota; a sister, Jean Porro, of Reinbeck, Iowa; and longtime friend, Sandy Holt, of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Karen Keller. He was a smiling, happy guy who loved Elvis Presley and Elvis' music.
