John Dolan Service to Be Tuesday

Solemn requiem high mass will be celebrated for John F. DOLAN, 72, at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. J. BREEN as celebrant. Mr. DOLAN died suddenly Saturday of a heart attack while driving a car near Dougherty. He was born April 2, 1881, at Charlotte, in Clinton County, son of Martin and Ellen DOLAN. He was married to Elizabeth BRINKMAN Jan. 24, 1906. He was a retired farmer, the family having moved to Mason City in 1943.

Surviving are his wife, seven sons, Vincent DOLAN, Dougherty; Victor DOLAN, Salinas, Kan.; Adrian DOLAN, Marble Rock; Aloysious DOLAN, San Bernardino, Calif.; Robert and John DOLAN Jr., Dougherty; three daughters, Mrs. Don ICarmille) ULRICH, Milwaukee; Mrs. Robert (Helen) DOUGHERTY, Dougherty, and Mary DOLAN, at home.

Five brothers, Thomas DOLAN, Mason City; Jerome DOLAN, Dewitt; Oswald DOLAN, Manchester; Martin DOLAN, Yakima, Wash.; Justin DOLAN, Texas, and three sisters, Mrs. Jack (Benita) DOLAN, Waterloo; Gertrude CRANNY, Chicago; and Mrs. Jim (Cyrilla) THORNTON, San Diego, Calf., and 26 grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph, in August 1951, and a brother, Patrick.

Mr. DOLAN was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.

Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Dougherty. The Colonia Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
