CLIFTON COMBS DIES AT HOME

Funeral Rites to Be Saturday Afternoon; Burial at Elmwood
Clifton D. COMBS, 70, died at his home, 522 Delaware avenue northeast, at 8:45 o'clock Wednesday evening, following a lingering illness.

Mr. COMBS was born at Circleville, Ohio, March 27, 1872. He moved to a farm near Mason City in 1910, where he lived five years before moving to Mason City.He had resided here since that time and was employed at the Northwestern States Portland cement plant for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving Mr. COMBS are his wife, Mrs. Maude COMBS, two sons, Albert COMBS, Des Moines, and Harold COMBS, Fort Belvoir, Va., and two sisters, Mrs. Charles HARBERT, Dawson, Ill., and Mrs. John DABING, Mount Pulaski, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at the Major Memorial chapel at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery. The body was taken to the Major funeral home.
