MASON CITY - Betty ANGELL, 84, of Mason City died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2502 S. Jefferson Ave. in Mason City, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, with the Rev. John GANNETT officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation was at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E., in Mason City from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday and will be held again one hour prior to the service.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Thoughts, condolences and stories may be shared with the family through the www.Fullertonfh.com website.

Betty was born on Dec. 18, 1926, in Mason City, the daughter of William Richard and Julia (EILING) KOPPS. She was united in marriage to Francis N. ANGELL on Feb. 14, 1945, in San Diego, Calif. To this union three children were born.

She worked in the office for Madison Public School for over 14 years, retiring in 1985. Betty enjoyed being around children, both at the school and her own grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her family was very important to her and they relied on her to keep everyone organized. Betty volunteered and was very active at her church, Our Saviour's Lutheran. She also loved to sew and quilt, and many family members had received a quilt or rug from her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis in 1995; and four sisters and four brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Carol (Jerry) RYERSON of Ames, Gordan (Kathy) ANGELL of Oregon and Douglas (Jane) ANGELL of Chandler, Ariz.; grandchildren, Christopher (Susie) and Scott (Deana) RYERSON, Christian DAVIS, Aaron (Jennifer) and Sarah ANGELL and Alison and Brad ANGELL; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Charles RYERSON, Mason and Isabella ANGELL, Taylor DAVIS, Leni ANGELL and Mia FRANCIS; and many nieces and nephews.
