Beverly Mae BROWN, 84, of Mason City passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at the Good Shepherd Health Center.
A Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 North Adams, with Rev. Michael SCHUELLER officiating.
Visitation was held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with a Catholic Daughter's Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church in Beverly's name. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com.
Beverly M. McKEE was born March 14, 1928, in Mason City, the daughter of Clyde and Rachel (LaVILLE) McKEE. She graduated from Mason City Holy Family High School. She was married to Wayne C. BROWN on August 31, 1946, in Mason City. To this union, one daughter, Judy, was born. Beverly and Wayne were lifetime Mason City residents. Through the years she worked for Wicks Pharmacy and J.C Penney. She was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and St. Rose Ann Circle. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, feeding the outside animals, gardening, baking in her earlier years and playing cards. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of Mason City; daughter, Judy HAVIG and husband Jim of Mason City; grandchildren, Nick JOHNSON and wife Erin of Kansas City, Mo., and Amber CARLSON and husband Justin of Britt; great-grandchildren, Avery JOHNSON and Austin and Karter CARLSON; sisters, Ethel EDWORTHY and Beatrice GALVIN; brothers, Robert McKEE, Larry McKEE, Richard McKEE, Gary McKEE and Joe McKEE.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tom McKEE.
