Mrs. Bosworth Dies; Funeral on Wednesday

Last rites for a widely-known Mason City woman, Mrs. LeRoy T. BOSWORTH, 520 Vermont S.E., will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Patterson-James Funeral Home. The Rev. Wilbur F. DIERKING of the First Presbyterian Church will be in charge and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Death came at 10:25 p.m. Saturday in Billings Hospital, Chicago, where Mrs. BOSWORTH had been taken earlier in the week for treatment. It was ascribed to a heart attack. She had, however, experienced an extended illness, with hospitalization here and in Rochester.

With her at the time of death were her husband and her son, Harrison KOHL, Omaha. Mr. BOSWORTH is a practicing lawyer at Manly and the son is associated with television in Omaha.

Born in Hallstead, Pa., Mrs. BOSWORTH came to Mason City at the age of 6 and was reared in the home of her late aunt, Mrs. William E. BRICE. She obtained her schooling here and lived her entire adult life in Mason City. Down through the years Mrs. BOSWORTH had been active in a wide range of interest. Among the organizations with which she was identified were the History Club, the Bridge Club and the Women's Club.

Surviving Mrs. BOSWORTH, in addition to her husband and son, are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Katherine) POOL, ad one granddaughter, Carol KOHL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison KOHL. A second daughter, Adrienne, died in 1931 at the age of 17.

The body will lie in state at the chapel from Tuesday until the time of services.

Mrs. LeRoy Bosworth Rites Held

Funeral services for Mrs. LeRoy (Mary) BOSWORTH, who died at a Chicago hospital late Saturday, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Patterson-James Chapel. The Rev. Wilbur F. DIERKING, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated.

Mrs. Earl EHLERS was the organist. Mrs. Carl SNYDER, Mrs. Lee LOOMIS, Mrs. L. A. MOORE and Mrs. F. C. LOVELL were in charge of the flowers. Car escorts were Mrs. Thomas ARTHUR, Floyd JOHNSON, F. C. LOVELL and Carl SNYDER.

Members of the History and Phoenician Clubs attended the services in groups.

Attending the services from out of the city were Mrs. Ralph NORRIS, Medford, Ore.; Allin W. DAKIN, Iowa City; Mrs. Warren K. HENDRICKS, Lincolnwood, Ill.' Mr. and Mrs. Harrison KOHL, Omaha; Stuart POOL, Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Virgil HANCHER, Iowa City; Mrs. Ed BACHMAN, Chicago; Mrs. Charles COOK, Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. R. C. BOSWORTH, St. Paul; and Leslie J. BOSWORTH, Milwaukee.

Pallbearers were Dr. Stelphen WESTLY, Syd BOWEN, Stuart POOL, Richard POOL, Ray WHORTEY and Bud SUTER. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery.
