MASON CITY — Gloria Dorenkamp, 63, of 21185 Vine Ave., died Tuesday (March 15, 2005) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Old Stone Methodist Church in Rock Falls with the Rev. Wendy Johannesen officiating.

Gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association.

Gloria was born Feb. 28, 1942, in Mason City, the daughter of R.E. and Alice (Guthrie) Luse. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1960.

Gloria married Larry Dorenkamp on Jan. 18, 1980, in Mason City. The Dorenkamps moved to an acreage outside of Mason City in 1980, where they enjoyed fixing and making improvements to their acreage.

Gloria worked for Holcim Cement Plant as a stock room supervisor for 28 years until retirement.

She enjoyed collecting owls, camping, fishing, gambling and spending time with family.

She is survived by husband, Larry, of Mason City; children, Toni and husband, Mark Rock, of St. James, Minn., Dean and Liz Trebilcock of Denver, Colo.; Steve Dorenkamp of Lake Mills, Matt and wife, Teresa Dorenkamp, of Mason City, Larry Michael Dorenkamp and wife, Malena, of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jeff, Josh, John, Ian, Michael and very special granddaughter, Heather; great-grandchild, Jaris; parents, R.E. and Alice Luse, of Mason City; brothers, Bill Luse of St. Ansgar, and John and Carole Luse of Osage; nieces and nephews, Raymie and wife, Christina Luse, and family, Tara and husband, Chris, and family, and Erin and Brad Feingold.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
