Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa

DIED. - At midnight, July 17th, A. C. BEMIS, aged 76 years. Lung and stomach difficulty was the cause. He was a soldir during the Civil war, enlisting first in the First Ills. Cavalry and later on in Co. K, Eleventh Ills. Cavalry, whose Colonel was Robert G. INGERSOLL. The G.A.R. will no doubt hae charge of the funeral ceremonies as he was a member of the Huntley Post. He will be buried [Elmwood Cemetery] tomorrow at 2 o'clock. He leaves a wife and six children.
