ROCKWELL - Elizabeth HINRICHS, 96, formerly of 302 Adams, Rockwell, died Monday (July 27, 1998) at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fullerton Funeral Chapel, 120 S. Third St., Rockwell, with Pastor Lewis BRAM, of the Rockwell Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Rockwell Cemetery, Rockwell.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Elizabeth HINRICHS Memorial Fund.

Elizabeth was born May 13, 1902, the daughter of Gerhard and Eliese (HEMMIOLTMANNS) HINRICHS in Bath Township.

She graduated from Rockwell High School and then attended the University of Northern Iowa and later graduated from Drake University in Des Moines. Elizabeth taught school for many years at Rockford, Britt and Ottumwa Public Schools.

Following retirement, she returned to Rockwell where she made her home with her sister, Helene JACKSON. She was a very active member of the Rockwell Baptist Church.

In 1982, Elizabeth moved to the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

Those thankful for having shared her life include one sister, Alma MITTERER and many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters, Anna HINRICHS, Meta CALLAHAN, Mary BERGMAN, Emma RYBURN, Martha NELSON, Clara GRUMMOND and Helene JACKSON; and four brothers, John, Henry, Herman and William HINRICHS.
