Betty Jane De Armond, 82, Dies

CLEAR LAKE — Betty Jane De ARMOND, 82, of the Apple Valley Assisted Living, 405 S. 27th St. Apt. No. 10, Clear Lake, died late Friday evening [Oct. 17, 2003] at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Burial will take place in Rockwell Cemetery in Rockwell.

Betty Jane De ARMOND was born May 23, 1921, in Salina, Kan., to William B. and Goldie L. (SHUPE) WARD. Those grateful for having had the privilege of sharing in her life are her daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" LEMBKE and her husband, Bob, of Mason City, and Catherine JOHNSTON; two step-brothers, John YOUNG and his wife, Betsy, of Manhattan, Kan., and Cyrus YOUNG, of Lawrence, Kan.; granddaughter, Caroline "Cary" MOREHOUSE and her husband, David, of Mason City; grandson, William "Will" LEMBKE, of Cedar Rapids; great-grandson, Josiah "Si" MOREHOUSE; great-granddaughter, Nicole MOREHOUSE; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding Betty in death were her parents and step-brother, Patrick YOUNG.
