MASON CITY --- Mrs. Herbert A. (Lora V.) Christian, 99, formerly of 110 Second St. S.E., died Wednesday (Jan. 16, 1991) at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

Funeral services will held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 209 Second St., N.E., with Ron Nutt and John Wilson, both of Grinnell, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. today unt10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

She grew up and attended school in LaPorte City and married Herbert A. Christian on Oct. 27, 1909, at Waterloo. They farmed in the LaPorte City and Waterloo area before moving to Mason City in 1943. Mr. Christian died Oct. 27, 1974. In 1989 she moved to LaPorte City to make her home with her daughter then in May of 1990 she entered the Sunnycrest Nursing Center at Dysart.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harry O. (Helen V.) Kaler, Mason City; Mrs. Norma Craft, LaPorte city, and Mrs. Beulah Klenk, Belle Plaine; one son, Ervin H, Christian, Waterloo; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, six sisters, two brothers and one great-grandson.
