Obituary - Terry Ray Radcliff

MASON CITY — Terry Ray RADCLIFF, 64, of Mason City died Friday, July 15, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa after a long and courageous battle with many health problems.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Jim MAGELSSEN officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Terry RADCLIFF memorial fund in care of the family.

Terry was born May 19, 1947, in Mason City, the son of Dale and Iona (JOHNSON) RADCLIFF. He graduated from Mason City High school in 1965 and continued his education at Hawkeye Community College. Terry worked at Armour Meat Packing Plant, Winnebago, many construction jobs and engaged in farming before becoming disabled in 2005. Terry enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling stories and jokes, watching western movies, spending time with his friends and socializing with some hot wings and cold beer.

Terry was an animal lover and looked forward to playing with his granddogs. Terry spent many years riding, loving and raising horses as well.

Terry is survived by his friend, Sally ROBERTS of Mason City; his children, Brian RADCLIFF and wife Shelly of Mason City, Brent RADCLIFF of Mason City and Tami ANDERSON and husband Joseph of Mason City; adopted son, Micah RADCLIFF; four grandchildren, Samantha RADCLIFF, Scott RADCLIFF, Ian ANDERSON and Morgan MARSHALL; his mother, Iona RADCLIFF of Mason City; one brother, Michael RADCLIFF and wife Judy of Golden Valley, Minn.; ex-wife, Linda RADCLIFF of Mason City; special uncle, Raymond JOHNSON of Orono, Minn.; lifelong friend, Valory SCHADT of Sheffield, and good friend, "Cooper The Cook." He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and granddogs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Wayne RADCLIFF.
