MASON CITY — Charles L. MURPHY, 61, died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 24, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 11495 265th St., Mason City, with Pastor Ed BARD officiating.

Memorials may be directed to the Charles L. MURPHY Memorial in care of Lowell MURPHY, 648 S. Polk Ave., Mason City, Iowa 50401, or Hospice of North Iowa in his memory.

Charles L. MURPHY was born Feb. 27, 1950, in Hampton, the son of Loren and Darlene (McKINNEY) MURPHY. Charles was blessed with two daughters, Brandi and Tara. He recently worked for CDI in Forest City. Charles loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and was a huge motorcycle enthusiast.

Charles is survived by his daughters Brandi (Murl) BURKHARDT, Clear Lake, Tara (Dave) BENNETT, Evansdale, grandchildren Tayla, Brandon, BilliJo, Dylon, Tanner and Kacie; along with nine siblings; step-mother Beverly MURPHY, Mason City, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Awaiting his arrival in heaven is his father Loren.
