OKEECHOBEE, Fla. - Bayard Clinton SIGLIN, 93, formerly of Mason City, died Monday (Jan. 23, 2006) at Okeechobee Health Care Facility, Okeechobee, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Jim STILES of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood-St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Visitation will be held today from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the Bayard SIGLIN Memorial Fund.

Bayard was born Feb. 11, 1912, to Roy and Victoria SIGLIN in Linn Grove. Bayard graduated from Linn Grove high school in 1931 and attended Mason City Junior College in the fall of 1931.

He married LaVaun WOLTER on Oct. 20,1934, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Mr. Siglin was employed with International Harvester Co. for 34 years and retired in 1968.

Mr. SIGLIN was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mason City, the Elks Lodge BPOE No. 375 and the Moose Lodge of Mason City.

He enjoyed spending the winters in Lakeland, Fla., where he later moved to live. He enjoyed playing the game of golf.

He is survived by his sister, Celeste GIESE of Clearwater, Fla., and a friend, Lottie NASH of Lakeland, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVaun, in 1994, and brother, Nord SIGLIN, in 2002.
