CLEAR LAKE -- Melvin R. HOLLATZ, 80, died Saturday (Dec. 14, 1996) at Oakwood Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, northeast of Garner, with the Rev. Carl HEDBERG officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Melvin Roland HOLLATZ was born Jan. 6, 1916 northeast of Garner.

Survivors include one son, Michael R. HOLLATZ of Garner; three grandchildren; one brother, Wilbur HOLLATZ of Mason City; and six sisters, Edna ALBERS of Clear Lake, Ethel SCHOENWETTER of Klemme, Pearl DeGROOTE of Corwith, Helen HARMS of Dubuque, and Ardith TOPPIN of Clear Lake.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, two daughters, parents, one brother and two sisters.
