December 12, 1996OMAHA, Neb. -- Leon Richard HAXTON, 50, of Omaha, died Monday (Dec. 9, 1996) at Omaha.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Omaha, Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Omaha.
There will be a wake service at 7 p.m. today at Christ the King Catholic Church.
John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, 1010 N. 72nd St., Omaha, Neb., is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Christ the King Educational Trust Fund, Creighton Prep Bank or Mercy High School Capital Campaign in his memory.
Leon Richard HAXTON was born March 12, 1946, in Mason City, Iowa, to Clarence Wade and Ann (DUDA) HAXTON.
He was a 25-year employee of United Parcel Service.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (DALY) HAXTON; son, John Paul HAXTON; daughter, Sarah HAXTON; mother, Anna OPSAHL; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Aivetta HAXTON; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Howard HOPKINS; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia ASHBURN.
