Walter EGGERS, 96, of 110 Cedar Terrace N., Charles City, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5th at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Rev. Paul WILCOX, Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burail will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home, and will continue for 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at Hauser Funeral Home.

Walter Henry Albert EGGERS was born November 29, 1907 in Hubbard, Iowa, the son of Herman and Lena (JAGUE) EGGERS. On February 16, 1929, Walter was united in marriage to Ethel "Peggy" PETTEY in Mason City. Walter resided in Mason City until the late sixties when he moved to Charles City.

Walter worked for the railroad, DECKER Meat Packing, the Northwestern Cement Plant, Coniver & Doyle Egg Factory, and most recently at Ray's Pastime in Charles City.

Walter raised birds and always enjoyed visiting with people, especially his family.

Walter is survived and lovingly remember by his son, Charles "Buddy" EGGERS of Mason City; his sister Marie MICHAELSON of Kanawha; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, a son, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and a great-great-grandchild.
