December 18, 1996MASON CITY -- Rollie A. "Pat" EGGERS, 86, of 604 Second St. N.E., died Monday (Dec. 16, 1996) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Merlin ACKRESON of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Rollie A. "Pat" EGGERS was born June 19, 1910, the son of Herman and Lena (JAGUA) EGGERS near Alden, He attended country schools near Alden.
He moved to Mason City when he was 16 to work for Jacob E. DECKER & Sons where he worked for 45 years.
He married Dorothy COOK on Feb. 26, 1932, in Mason City.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and watching baseball and football.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge where he was a life member.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy EGGERS of Mason City; three sisters, Hilda WYNN of Mason City; Marie MICHAELSON and her husband, Harold, of Kanawha, and Leona COMSTOCK of Mason City; one brother, Walter EGGERS of Charles City; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rollia (1932-1933); a sister, Mabel HALFPAP; and two brothers, Harley EGGERS and Clarence EGGERS.
