Obituary ~ Grace Ethel (Nielsen) Coyle

Funeral services for Grace E. COYLE, 73, of 647 S. Carolina, who died Saturday [October 29, 1977] at a Mason City hospital, were held Monday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rockwell.

Mrs. COYLE was a member of St. Joseph Church, the parish Life Society of the church and Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.

Mrs. COYLE was a graduate of Mason City High School and Junior Collage and attended the University of Northern Iowa. She taught school in Worth and Cerro Gordo counties and retired from The Grafton school systen in 1965.

Survivors include two sons, Jack COYLE, Manly, and Dean COYLE, Floyd; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Lois) HEGTVEDT, Mason City, and Mrs. John (Helen) ARNETT, Breckenridge, Texas; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Paul (Alta) MATZEN, Greenfield, Mo.; Mrs. Ralph (Nellie) McLAUGHLIN, Mason City; Ruby STRICKLAND, Fort Dodge; Eleanor GREEN, Renwick and Marie PITMAN, Mason City.

Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

NOTE: Grace was born in Rockwell on September 16, 1904, the daughter of Broder and Anna (BAHNSEN) NIELSEN. She was the wife of John B. COYLE.
