Dies at Home after Illness.Mrs. Hugh [Bridget (McMENIMEN)] COYLE, 78, died following a lingering illness Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughters, Mrs. Fred CAHALAN, 230 6th NW.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. R. P. MURPHY will oficiate. Burial will be in Dougherty [St. Patrick's] Cemetery.
Born at Hazelton, Pa., in [January 17] 1867, Mrs. COYLE moved with her parents to a farm near Dougherty where she lived for nine years. She ws married to Hugh COYLE at Rockford in 1887. Mr. COYLE died in 1932. One son [Daniel] and one daughter also preceded her in death.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Frances [Annabelle] KIRK and Mrs. Frances [Rose] COOLING, Rockwell; Mrs. Harold [Marie] ECKES, New Hampton; Mrs. Vern [Maye] LEIGH, Charles City; and Mrs. Fred [Leocadia Grace] CAHALAN, Mason City. Sons are John of Manly and Hugh now at Ft. Still, Okla.
Sisters are Mrs. Henry CAHILL and Mrs. Edgar TOINBY, Mason City, and Mrs. Dan McLAUGHLIN of Dougherty. Brothers are Tom McMENIMEN, Mason City, Mike of Doughtery and Jim of Waterloo.
The Hogan Funeral Home of Dougherty is in charge of arrangements.
