VAN HORN RITES TO BE SATURDAY

Body of Local Woman to Be Brot (sic) to Mason City for Burial

Funeral services for Mrs. Bert J. Van HORN, who died Saturday [July 26, 1930] at Los Angeles [California], will be held at 9:30 o'clock Saturday morning at the McAuley funeral Home. In the absence of Dean A. M. HAGGARD, pastor of the Church of Christ, of which Mrs. Van HORN was a member, the Rev. M. C. PRINGLE, Hampton, will be in charge.

Burial will be in Memorial park cemetery. The body will arrive at 11 o'clock Thursday morning on the Rock Island railraod and will remain at the funeral parlors until the services are held.

Mrs. Van HORN, whose maiden name was Jennie Lovern BOARD, was born April 8, 1893, at Owen's Grove, Cerro Gordo count. She ras (sic) resided practically all of her life in Mason City until last March, when she went west for her health. She had been ill about a year and one-half.

She is survived by her husband, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. [William Halstaff & Lovern Della (POTTER)] BOARD, 1417 Virginia avenue northeast; one son, Virgil Van HORN, 14; two daughters, Dorothy Van HORN, 18, and Marion Van HORN, 13; two sisters, Mrs. S. M. McKEE, Mason City, Mrs. Ned TAYLOR, Madison, Wis., and two brothers, William G. BOARD, Adams, Wis., and Charles H. BOARD, Minneapolis.
