Funeral Services for Mrs. Rule Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Scott RULE, 80, 710 N. 9th street [Clear Lake], who died at Bethany Nursing Home Wednesday morning after an illness of several weeks, and several years of poor health. Services will be at Ward's Funeral Home Friday at 2:30 P.M. with the Rev. C. William EGELAND, pastor of the Methodist church at Swaledale, conducting the rites. Burial will be in the Clear Lake cemetery.

Mrs. RULE was born Nellie Louise BARRETT, daughter of Isaac and Jane BARRETT May 18, 1873. She was married Aug. 29, 1893 at Boone to Mr. Scott RULE, who survives.

Mr. and Mrs. RULE lived in the vicinity of Boone until 1914 when they moved near Clear Lake and to town in 1937, except for a few years in Canada.

Besides her husband, Mrs. RULE is survived by seven children, Rex, Mrs. Albert (Faye) CHRISTENSON and Mrs. George (Merle) EDMUNDSON, Clear Lake; Mrs. Fred (Clarice) YATES, Indianapolis, Ind.; Virgil RULE, Bellevue; Earl RULE at home; Marvin RULE, Swaledale; a sister, Mrs. Maude THOMPSON, Boone; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. RULE was preceded in death by a twin brother, Roy BARRETT; another brother, Claude BARRETT, and four grandsons, Eugene CHRISTENSON, Dale EDMUNDSON and Vernon and Clyde YATES.

Mrs. RULE was baptized in the Presbyterian faith in Boone.
