Obituary - Rachel Monnie (Bishop) Miller

Entered Into Eternal Rest Thursday, Dec. 1, 1983

SWALEDALE -- Funeral services for Mrs. (Rachel M.) MILLER, 88, of Swaledale, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Parish Church in St. Charles. She died Thursday (Dec. 1, 1983) at a Mason City Hospital.

Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery.

The Kale Funeral Home, Osceola, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Miller was born on November 24, 1895, Hanley, Iowa the daughter of Austin Hardesty and Alice Jane (HAYNES) BISHOP. She attended school at St. Charles and graduated from high school in 1911. She married Alva MILLER on Feb. 18, 1918 in Hanley.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) HESS, Swaledale, and Mrs. William (Virginia) LEASURE, Des Moines; one son, Max, Des Moines, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and one sister Mrs. Dorothy HAWLETTE, Maxwell.
