Funeral Sunday at 10 at Wilcox Chapel
Clear Lake -- Funeral services for Mrs. Rhoda JONES, 73, 703 S. 2nd street, who died about 6:30 o'clock Thursday evening [November 7, 1946], will be held at the Wilcox funeral chapel, 202 W. Main street, at 10 o'clock Sunday morning. The Rev. Warner M. HUBBARD, pastor of the First Methodist church of which Mrs. JONES was a member, will conduct the rites.Burial will be at Cottonwood cemetery near Lake City at 3 in the afternoon. Her husband, James JONES, who died May 7, 1937, is buried in the same cemetery.
Mrs. JONES was born Rhoda FICKLE at Lake City Feb. 16, 1873, and was married to Mr. JONES Feb. 18, 1890. They lived many years in Sac and Calhoun counties, moving to Clear lake in 1928.
Mr. and Mrs. JONES were the parents of 12 children, 4 of whom preceded them in death. Those surviving are Mrs. Chester J. HAMILTON, Auburn; Mrs. Ida WILCOFF, Sac City; Mrs. Lyle BRUGGEN, Fargo, N. Dak.; Mrs. Frank G. CLARK, Ventura; Earl K. JONES, Rockwell City; Ralph M. JONES, Jefferson; Charles N. JONES, Thief River Falls, Minn.; and Harold JONES, Mason City.
Also surviving are a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
