Lloyd Nicholas SCHOLL was born June 9, 1930, in Rockwell, the son of William and Ida (NIELSON) SCHOLL. He was a graduate of Holy Family Catholic School in 1948.

Lloyd was united in marriage to Ramona JOHNSON on Sept. 30, 1950, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City; to this union four children were born.

Lloyd was a heavy equipment operator for McKiness Excavating and Al & Dick's Wrecker Service. The last 11 years he worked for Kenkel Construction until his retirement.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, past member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was the grand knight in the 70's and helped with originating the Little League for the kids, past member of the Moose Lodge and the Softball Hall of Fame.

Lloyd enjoyed playing cards until Alzheimer's denied him the pleasure. He was a one of a kind jokester!

For the last three years he lived at the Heritage Care Center. His second family often called him "Papa Bear" because of the huge, big bear hugs he would give and smile at them with that twinkle in his eyes. He will be greatly missed by both families and numerous friends.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Ramona SCHOLL, of Mason City, children, Chuck (Mona) SCHOLL, of Mason City, Kathleen SCHOLL (Kim), of Mason City, Russ SCHOLL, of Charles City, Kelly SCHOLL, of Kensett; grandchildren, Lori WARD, Lindsay LANDERS, Max STAMBAUGH, and Nicole SCHOLL; great-grandson, Hoken LANDERS; siblings, Marian McILRATH, of Mason City, Danny (Mozel) SCHOLL, of Maryland, Raymond (Peggy) SCHOLL, of Mason City; along with several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sister-in-law, other relatives and friends.
