Obituary - Robert Charles "Bob" McDonough

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. -- Robert Charles "Bob" McDONOUGH, 85, of 106 Lisa's Way, Elizabeth City, N.C., formerly of Rockwell, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2006) at Albermarle Hospital.

Mr. McDONOUGH was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Cerro Gordog County in Rockwell. He was the son of the late Michael McDONOUGH and Alice DOUGHERTY McDONOUGH. He was a former employee with the Armour Co. and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Florence DUNN McDONOUGH; daughter, Barbara RUSSEL, and her husband Scott, of Chesapeake, Va.; grandchildren, Molly McCRACKEN and her husband, Matt, Matt RUSSEL and his wife, Mikki, and Hannah MILLER and her husband, Justin, and his great-grandson, Robert McCRACKEN.

A memorial Mass of resurrection will be held Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with The Very Rev. James BUCHHOLTZ, V.F., officiating. Rite of committal will follow in the church memory garden.

The family will receive friends following the committal service in the church fellowship hall.

The family suggests that memorials be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church, 1453 N. Road St., Elizabeth City, N.C. 27909, or Albemarle Hospital Foundation, 1144 N. Road St., Elizabeth City, N.C. 27909.
