MASON CITY -- Joseph "Joe" Bob JONES, 66, formerly of 1712 S. Coolidge, Mason City, died Friday (Feb. 10, 1995) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Home, 123 Second st. S.E., Mason City, with the Rev. David ANDERSON of St. James Lutheran Church officiating.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the chapel, where other arrangements are incomplete at this time. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Those planning and expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Joe JONES memorial fund.
Joe was born on March 10, 1928, in Waterloo, the son of George and Julie (George) JONES. He attended school in Waterloo. He was a self-employed metal technician in the Mason City area. He was well-known for his skating skills, especially on roller skates.
Joe is survives by eight sons, David, of Waterloo, Jim, Fred, Don, Mike, Nick and Pete, all of Mason City, and Randy, of Manly; one sister, Angie JONES, and one brother, Jim JONES, both of Monroe, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Al JONES.
