Obituary - George E. Jones

MASON CITY -- George E. JONES, 77, of 119 24th SE, died Thursday (July 30, 1981) at a Mason City hospital.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Patterson-James-Sellergren Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Herbert TEGELER of the Mason City Team Ministry officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation is until time of services at the funeral chapel, where a rosary will be recited at 8:30 tonight.

[He was born January 20, 1904, Indiana.] Mr. JONES had lived in Mason City 20 years and was a self-employed scrap dealer.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; one daughter, Angie JONES, Mason City; two sons, Joe and Jimmy, both of Mason City; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Juanita STANKO, Newton; three brothers, George, Des Moines; Buster, Gary, Ind., and John, Mitchellville.
