Charles J. HOGAN, 68, of Fountain Hills, Arizon, formerly of Mason City, Iowa, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2004, in Scottsdale, Arizona after a long battle with myasthenia gravis.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday (October 13, 2004) at Scottsdale Family Church, 9400 Mountain View Road, Scottsdale, Arizona. Entombment will be in the Paradise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the family residence, 15128 E. Vermilion Drive, Fountain Hills, Arizona. Further visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church, Wednesday.

The family suggests memorials to the Charles J. HOGAN Memorial Fund, c/o Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 w. Thunderbird Road, Peoria, Arizona 85381, Attn: Mike HARRIS

Chuck was born at Mason City, Iowa, on October 23, 1935, a son of Ralph J. and Lenore (DOUGHERTY) HOGAN. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Mortuary Science. He and long time aprtner Al BREMER owned and operated the Colonial Chapel funeral homes in Mason City, Clear Lake, Northwood, Manly and Nora Springs, Iowa, and Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.

Chuck moved to Arizona in 1984, and was the founder of Medico. He was active in numerous civil and philanthropic organizations. Chuck's spirit and friendship will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, Fountain Hills, Arizona; a son, Michael, San Diego, California; two daughters, Ann, Chanhassen, Minnesota; Mindy, Denver, Colorado; four granddaughters, Brittany and Emma TAYLOR, Alexis and Brianna IMMERMAN; a sister, Mary Rose (John) SCANLON, Minnetonka, Minnesota; mother-in-law, Nedra FLORER, Clear Lake, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Margaretha HOGAN, Dougherty, Iowa; Janelle (Glenn) COWAN, Anchorage, Alaska; Sandy FLORER, Anthem, Arizona, Cindy FLORER, Clear Lake, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Raymond; and a sister, Margaret.
