Mrs. A. Bell Rites to Be Held Friday

Mrs. Annie BELL, 85, of 410 W. State, died at a Mason City nursing home Wednesday following an illness. She had resided most of her life in Cerro Gordo County.

Mrs. BELL was born at Vinegar Hill, Ill., July 28, 1867. She was a member of the Women's Guild of the First Congregational Church.

Surviving are three sons, Herbert and Harry BELL, Mason City, and Glenn BELL, Prescott, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel PETERSON, Waterloo; a grandson and two granddaughters.

Four sisters, Mrs. Mary LOPSHIRE, McAllen, Tex.; Mrs. Hattie ASH, Nedrow, N.Y.; Mrs. Salena AKINS, Dubuque, and Miss Lottie HOCKINGS, Platteville, Wis., and a brother, John HOCKINGS, Dubuque, also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband [Herbert J. in 1934] and one daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Patterson-James Mason City Chapel with the Rev. Allen TINKHAM, interim pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Patterson-James Chapel Thursday afternoon until the time of services.
