December, 2005Robert James BARRAGY, born on Jan. 14, 1938, in Rockwell, passed away on Friday (Dec. 16, 2005) at the age of 67.
Robert graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic High School in Mason City and served in the United States Air Force from 1957 - 1978. He attained a B.A. from Texas Lutheran University in 1997 and retired from Getronics Government Services, Inc. in 2002. He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
His parents, James Thomas BARRAGY and Arlene McDONOUGH BARRAGY, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda SANDERS BARRAGY; his mother-in-law, Mary SANDERS; six children, Marcia BARRAGY SHELTON and her husband, Lane, of Lavernia, Texas, David J. BARRAGY and his wife, Joan, of Olive Branch, Miss., MSGT. Douglas R. BARRAGY and his wife, Stephanie, of wasilla, Alaska, James D. SHEERIN of Austin, Texas, Cynthia SHEERIN THOMAS and her husband, Mitchell, of San Antonio, Texas, and Stacy SHEERIN LESIEUR and her husband, Robert, of Austin, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer SHELTON BIELA and her husband, Shaun, Dianna SHELTON, Christopher and Amanda BARRAGY, Austin and Kathlynn THOMAS, Hannah, Sabrina and Maxwell BARRAGY, and Ava and Andrew LESIEUR; one great-grandchild, Alyssa BIELA; a brother, Joseph BARRAGY and his wife, Mary, of Mason City; a sister, Margaret OLSON and her husband, Larry, of Buffalo, Minn.; an uncle, Robert BARRAGY and his wife, Florence, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private memorial Mass will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
