Funeral services for George T. Mulligan, 69, were held at St. Lawrence Catholic church at Swaledale Monday morning June 2. Mr. Mulligan died as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident which happened a half mile south of Swaledale Wednesday, June 18. He passed away at the Rockwell hospital on June 20.
George Mulligan was born in Genoa, Illinois, January 29, 1978. He came to Iowa with his parents at the age of six years and resided on a farm until 1916 when he moved to the present home in Swaledale.
He was married to Pearl Calkins on December 17, 1928. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Leo J. Mulligan of Truman, Minnesota, a sister, Mrs. Wn. Hodson, of Swaledale, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters, one brother being a twin of Mr. Mulligan.
Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery at Rockwell. Pall bearers were: Edd Buntenbach, Klemme; N. C. Brown, Austin, Minnesota; Jack Wilemensen, Jake Jountz, Edd Moroney, Swaledale; and George Mantz of Rockwell
