Harold C. Boehnke, 72, of 1030 260th St, Ventura, Iowa died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001 at the Concord Care Center, Garner, Iowa. Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 7 at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Garner, Iowa with the Rev. Carl Hedberg officiating. Interment was in St. John's Cemetery, rural Garner. _The Family suggests memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church.
Harold was born Jan. 13, 1929 on the family farm in rural Ventura, Iowa the son of Charles and Elsie (Berghofer) Boehnke. He graduated from Ventura High School in 1947 and continued farming the family farm. He married Doris Swenson June 6, 1956.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Garner, Iow8a.Hd is
survived by his wife, Doris Boehnke, rural Ventura; three children, Bev Boehnke, Cleveland , Minn., Paul Boehnke and his wife, Terri, rural Ventura, and Sharon Zirbel and her husband, Greg, rural Ventura; five grandchildren, Brandon Niedermayer, Zack Zirbel, Blake Boehnke, Zane Zirbel and Blair Boehnke; four brothers, Clarence Boehnke and his wife, Phyllis, Mesa, Az., Armand Boehnke and his wife, Marjule, Burnsville, Minn., Eldon Boehnke and his wife, Alphia, Clear Lake, and Walter Boehnke and his wife, Betty, Denver, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Louise Boehnke, Ventura. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Roland Boehnke.
