"Edward Allen Coyle, 82, Garner, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services were held Friday, July 20, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa in the name of Edward A. Coyle.
Edward was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Thornton, Iowa, the son of Edward T. and Dulice (Hartwig) Coyle. He farmed north of Miller, Iowa in Ellington Township. He married Edna Spitler Dec. 7, 1941. He later worked at Northern Natural Gas. He was a resident at Concord Care Center, Garner. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Miller, IA.
Edward is survived by three children, Judy Millett, Waterloo, Iowa, Larry Coyle and his wife, Kathy, Loomis, Calif., and Donna Todd, Waterloo, Iowa; five grandchildren, Jolene Berger and her husband, Perry, Waterloo, Iowa, Jay Millett and his wife, Kelly, Waterloo, Iowa, Kristine Falk, Chandler, Az., David Coyle, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Wesley Todd, Waterloo, Iowa; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Coyle and his wife, Judy, Beaver Dam, Wis.; two sisters, Vivian Buss and her husband, Gerald, Hampton, Iowa, and Doris Jeffrey, Rockford, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Mary Coyle, Ventura, and Carol Coyle, Bemidji, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Don, Archie, Chuck and Stan Coyle; one son-in-law, Jerome Millett; one brother-in-law, Dale Jeffrey; and one sister-in-law Gwen Coyle."
