Vivian H. Hale
MASON CITY- Vivian H. Hale, 63,of North Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Mason City, died Monday (Dec. 21, 1987) at her home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 722 N Adams Ave., with the Rev. Joseph J. Slepicka officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City.
Visitation is after 5:30 p.m. Friday at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., where there will be a prayer servicce at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
She was born July 26, 1924, in Rockwell, the daughter of Henry F. and Elizabeth (Kipper) Scholl. She attended Sacred Heart Academy in Rockwell, graduating in 1942.
After graduation she attended Mercy School of Nursing in Fort Dodge and graduated in 1946. After graduation she was employed at the Greene hospital as a nurse.
She later joined the U.S. Air Force and received training to be anesthetist. After her training, she was stationed at Ellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nev.
After her discharge with the rank of captain, she married Dr. A. E. Hale on Dec. 31, 1956, in Rockwell. They made their home in Mason City until Dr, Hale retired in 1970. They retired to North Palm Beach, Fla.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Tabernacle Society.
Survivors include two daughters,Mary Jane Porter, Mason City, and Patricia Warden-Sutton, Amamosa; one son, Dr. James P., Lincoln, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Valeria Logan, Rockwell; Vaneta Ingersoll, Mason City; Velma Dolan, Bettendorf; Valeta Theilen, Rockford, and Virginia Millard, Kensett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother.
