Francis D. Corrigan

DOUGHERTY- Francis D. Corrigan, 84, died Friday (Aug. 25, 1989) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Cartersville, with the Rev. Steve Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery Dougherty.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Parish Center, Rockwell. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the parish center.

Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Oct. 18, 1904, in Tama County, a son of Terrance and Nora (Tierney) Corrigan. They moved to the Dougherty area in 1916.

He married Evelyn VonLinder Dec. 9, 1972 in Cartersville. They farmed in the Dougherty area until 1985, then moved to the Good Shepard Nursing Home, Mason City. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Cartersville.

Survivors include a special friend, Esther Herr, Mason City; and a cousin, Sister Mary Xavier, Corrigan, Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.
