DICK WEAVER

Dick Weaver 62, of Clear Lake, died Friday Nov. 1, 2002 at his home. Funeral services were held Nov. 4, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake. Interment was in the Clear Lake Cemetery. The Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangement.

Richard was born May 13, 1940 in Mason City, Iowa the son of Earl "Bud" and Irene Helen (Bell) Weaver. He attended Clear Lake high school. Following high school he worked at the Clear Lake Bakery.

He married Nadine Slagle April 12, 1959 at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church. They moved to Ft. Dodge where he drove for Sunbeam Bread.
They moved back to Clear Lake in 1970 where he became a route driver for Clear Lake Bakery. He drove the Emmetsburg route until 1997, when he took over the Clear Lake route and ran it till his retirment in May 2002 due to ill health.

Dick is survived by his wife Nadine Weaver, Clear Lake; six children, including Nicky Froning and her husband Jamie, Nora Springs; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother and his father-in-law Harold Slagle, Garner.
