Mary Mansfield Pushee, who died here Feb. 18, 1928, was born in Brusher Falls, St. Lawrence Co., N.Y., Dec 11, 1842.

She was 86 years, 2 months and 7 days old at the time of her death. She came west with her parents in 1855 and settled at Bunker Hill, Allamakee County, where she lived until May 14, 1867 when she came to Mason City.

Mary Mansfield was married to Charles B. Pushee here June 14, 1868. To this union one son Fred C. Pushee, was born. With the exception of a few years spent at Hammond, La., where her husband was accidentally killed 24 years ago, Mrs. Pushee had lived in Mason City since 1867.

She joined the Methodist Episcopal church when a girl and was one of the charter members of the local church. One sister, Mrs. Charles Kennison of Mason City survives.
