LORENZO J. FARNSWORTH SERVICE SET
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Major Memorial Chapel for Lorenzo J. Farnsworth, 85, 342 29th SW, who died Saturday at a Mason City hospital.
The Rev. S.T. Shifflet, pastor of the First Christian Church, which Mr. Farnsworth attended, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Wallace C. Allen will be the organist. Pallbearers will be Roland Lowe, J.C. Lowe, Raymond Overbeck, Donald Shinn, Vernon Shinn and Charles J. Oulman.
Mr. Farnsworth was born May 31, 1886, in Vermillion County, Ill., the son of William and Mary E. (England) Farnsworth. He married Olive E. Gilbert, Jan. 16, 1918, at Fairmont, Minn.
They lived in Mason City 47 years, where he was an engineer at the American Crystal Sugar Co. plant for many years.
He is survived by a brother, Raleigh Farnsworth in Illinois, and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Shank, Albert Lea, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister.
