Mason City - Susie Erickson

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 2502 S. Jefferson Ave., with the Rev. Kenneth H. Hatland officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph-Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. today until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 209 Second St. N.E.

Memorials may be given to the Susie Erickson memorial fund.

Susie Erickson was born June 13, 1917, at Milwaukee, Wis., a daughter of George and Katharina (Berg) Beisel. She moved to Mason City as a young child and attended Mason City schools. She was married to Kenneth E. Belseth Oct. 28, 1933, at Mason City. Mr. Belseth died in 1966. She was then married to Eilef J. Erickson March 16, 1968. For many years, she was employed by Mode O’Day Corp. and by Armour and Company. In later years, she did domestic work in Mason City. She was a member or Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Eilef J. Erickson of Mason City; two sons, Duane C. Belseth, and his wife Marilyn A., Fairmont, Minn., and Eugene K. Belseth, and his wife Sharon K., Mason City; three step-daughters, Mrs. Ron (Judy) Davisson, Mound, Minn., Mrs. Mike (Mary) Lindquist, Rochester, Minn., and Mrs. Walt (Linda) Enders, Ames; three grandchildren, Lynn Powers, Nevada, Lorie Belseth, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Timothy Belseth, Mason City; one great grandson, Tymothy, at home; five step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Sawyer, Bloomington, Minn., Peter Sawyer and Lisa Davisson, both of Mound, Minn., Stephen Sawyer, Dallas, Texas, and Marsha Lindquist, Rochester, Minn.; one great step-grandson, Graham, at home; and one brother, Alex Beisel, Engadine, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Kenneth E. Belseth in 1966; one son, David G. in 1947; one grandson, Terry Lynn in 1960; and 11 sisters and brothers.
