Frieda S. Kahlstorf, daughter of Frederick and Margaret (Mueller) Steinberg, passed away Monday, September 7, 1981, at the John Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born November 14, 1891, at Mason City, Iowa, and was 89 years, 9 months and 24 days of age at the time of her death.

She received her education in Mason City and after graduation from high school she taught school in the Mason City area. She was united in marriage with Fred Kahlstorf on November 5, 1913, at Mason City, and the couple made their home on a farm in Hancock County, where they farmed until 1959, when they retired and moved into Britt. She was a former member of the Upper Flat Evangelical Free Church and more recently a member of the Britt Evangelical Free Church.

She is survived by 2 sons, Harold Kahlstorf and his wife Lola Faye of Britt, Iowa; and Donald Kahlstorf and his wife Pauline of Phoenix, Arizona; 5 daughters, Edna and her husband Louis Fisher of Phoenix, Arizona; Laura Baade of Britt, Iowa; Gertrude and her husband Lee Mortenson of Oak Park, Illinois; Mildred Sonerholm of Boulder, Colorado; and Donna Kahlstorf of Wheaton, Illinois; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred in 1972, 1 son, several grandchildren, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
