Dennis O'Connor 76, Dies At Home
Retired Stock Buyer, Farmer Succumbs To Heart Disease.Dennis O'Connor, 76, died at his home 622 North Federal avenue about 9:30 o'clock Tuesday evening
from heart disease. He had been ill for several months.Mr. O'Connor was born at Farley, Feb. 22, 1858. He resided there until 1883 when he moved to Rockwell. He had resided in several places in the county since that time and has resided in Mason City for the past 12 years. Mr. O'Connor was a stock buyer and farmer but had been retired for the past 15 years.
On Sept. 28, 1886, Mr. O'Connor was married to Miss Catherine Kelsh at Rockwell. Surviving Mr.
O'Connor are his wife, and seven children, Andrew of Waterloo, Vincent of Sioux Falls, S. Dak. Mrs U. W. Weeks, Hampton, and Leonard, George, Bernadette and Marjorie of Mason City. Three brothers, John of Cartersville, James of Dougherty and Murt of Rockwell, and five sisters, Mrs. M.J. Burke, Rockwell, Sister Monica, Waverly, Mrs James Casey, Epworth, Mrs. Robert Hall, Farley, and Mrs. Ella Green*, Dougherty, also survive.Funeral services will be held at the Holy Family church Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock. The Rev. R. P. Murphy, pastor of the church will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart cemetery at Rockwell. The body was taken to the Randall funeral home.
